Jacob W. Chesna

Current status:

Researcher in the Center for Precision Metrology (CMP) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Currently exploring new machinery and instrumentation technologies for advanced micro-manufacturing, metrology, and micro-assembly. To date this research has brought many technical presentations, publications, and proposed patents.

Immediate future goals:

Hone necessary technical skills to succeed as an engineering consultant, while developing the soft business skills necessary for growth and sustainability.

Professional memberships:

*CPM Industry Affiliates, a consortium of industry affiliates sharing challenges and project ideas in a university setting.
*University level chapter president of Tau Beta Pi, Engineering honor society.
*University level event coordinator for the American Society for Precision Engineering (ASPE).
